Federal Spending and the National Debt

Reducing Spending

Since President Obama moved into the White House, our national debt has increased to $18 trillion with no end in sight. This is a clear sign that government spending is out of control. Unfortunately, the president and Congressional Democrats don't seem to mind.  Each year, the president's budget proposes more and more deficit spending with no end in sight. We are burdening our children and grandchildren with an unjustifiable debt that they simply shouldn’t be responsible for.

Congress must join me to make sure that the federal government lives within in its means. This is a problem we cannot put off anymore and I will continue to fight to get us back on a fiscally responsible path.
