Visiting Washington

Welcome to Washington!
Congressman Miller encourages visitors to our nation's capital to stop by his Washington office for tour information. Several tours, including the White House, Capitol, Supreme Court, Bureau of Engraving, and Library of Congress can be prearranged by our office. To make tour requests or for tour information, please e-mail the required security information form to our Tour Coordinator. Please note that many tour dates fill up several months in advance and no tour can be guaranteed. If you have any questions about the form, please call my office at (202) 225-4136.

Following the events of September 11, 2001, our nation's Capital has undergone significant changes, and it continues to be a challenging time for all of us. New security measures have been set in place impacting the accessibility of area attractions. Parking is very limited, and public transportation is encouraged. Security screening at federal buildings, monuments, and museums prohibit the following items: aerosol/non-aerosol sprays, food/beverages, oversized bags of any kind, knives of any length, razors, box cutters, mace, and pepper spray. While some of these changes may be of inconvenience to you, I am confident that these new measures will help to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit to our nation's Capital.

I am pleased to arrange Congressional tours of the following attractions:
Feel free to stop by my office to pick up passes to the House and Senate galleries to observe debate on the floor of Congress. In the House, children under 10 are allowed in the gallery if accompanied by an adult. Children must be six years old to be admitted to the Senate gallery.

I highly recommend that all tour requests are submitted at least 3 months in advance of your visit.
