Vitter Announces $16M in Coastal Restoration Funds Under RESTORE Act
(Metairie, La.) - Today, U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-La.) announced that the Office of Gulf Coast Restoration in the Department of the Treasury will be awarding a $16,000,000 grant to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana (CPRA) under the Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act (RESTORE Act) to aid in coastal restoration. Vitter, a senior member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and an original co-sponsor of the RESTORE Act, championed the bill out of Committee and through the U.S. Senate.
