Washington, DC – In a discussion led by Senator Amy Klobuchar, Chair of the Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee, and Senator Debbie Stabenow, Vice Chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Center, Senate Democrats met with the leaders of the American Muslim Community about the bullying and harassment of Muslims in the United States.

Much of the discussion focused on countering the hateful rhetoric that has led to a rise in attacks against innocent Muslim Americans.  Senate Democrats urged public officials to speak out against hateful rhetoric directed at religious minorities.
