Coloradans interested in purchasing an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol building can fill out the form below.

The flag can be flown on any day of the year to honor special occasions, events, and holidays. Each flag is issued a keepsake Certificate of Authenticity by the Architect of the Capitol, showing the date and occasion for which it was flown.

There is a charge of $7 per flag for flying the flag over the U.S. Capitol and a shipping and handling fee of $4 per flag. To determine the cost, please use the cost calculator below.

You have two options to complete your flag request.

Option one:

Complete the online form and payment page. This link will redirect you to Pay.gov, an online payment portal and secured by the U.S Treasury Department. You can use your credit card, PayPal, or ACH bank account. This is the fastest method.

Option two:

Print and fill out the Flag Request form and send it, along with payment, to our Washington office.

Checks should be made payable to "Keeper of the Stationery," and should be sent with the Flag Request Form to the following address:

Please remember that your payment for the flag and your order form must arrive to our Washington office at least 15 days prior to the date you would like the flag flown. Please note that it takes up to 2 weeks for mail to be processed through the U.S. Capitol.

Requests without a specific date(s) to have a flag flown may take up to six weeks to process and ship. Should you have any questions regarding your flag order, please don't hesitate to contact our Washington office.
