- 1. Are you waiting for a reply to your claim?
- I will be happy to make inquiries on your behalf as to the status of your claim, but unless there is an emergency, your case cannot be expedited. An emergency is defined as a terminal illness or an expected eviction from your home. return to top
- 2. Was your application for disability benefits denied?
- It is important that you follow the proper appeals process if you disagree with a Social Security Administration's decision. Please closely review the SSA's fact sheet, "The Appeals Process" or call its toll-free number 1-800-772-1213. All requests for appeals should be sent to your local office; you can find the address of your local office at http://www.ssa.gov/locator/. After your appeal is filed, my office can work on your behalf with SSA to determine the status of your claim. return to top
