 The Senate will convene at 9:30 AM and will resume consideration of S. 1197 (A bill to authorize appropriations for Fiscal Year 2014 for military activities of the Department of Defense). The Senate will proceed with six hours of debate only on the issue of sexual assault.

 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2013

The Senate will convene at 10:00 AM and will be in a period of Morning Business. for one hour. At 11:00 AM, the Senate will resume consideration of S. 1197 (A bill to authorize appropriations for Fiscal Year 2014 for military activities of the Department of Defense). The Senate will recess from 12:30 to 2:15 PM for the weekly party caucus lunches.

MONDAY, NOV. 18, 2013

The Senate will convene at 2 p.m.

Following leaders’ remarks, the Senate will be in Morning Business until 5 p.m. The Senate will then begin 30 minutes of debate on Executive Calendar #381, the nomination of Robert Leon Wilkins to the U.S. Circuit Court for the circuit of the District of Columbia.

At 5:30 p.m., there will be up to four votes on:

1) Cloture on Ex. Cal. #381, the Wilkins nomination;

2) Cloture on on the drug compounding bill, H.R. 3204;

3) Passage of H.R. 3204, the drug compounding bill; and

4) Cloture on the motion to proceed to the defense authorization bill for fiscal year 2014, S. 1197.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2013

The Senate will convene at 9:30 AM and will be in a period of Morning Business for two hours. The Senate will then resume consideration of the Motion to Proceed to H.R. 3204 (Drug Quality and Security Act). It is expected that the Senate will agree to the Motion to Proceed to the bill by a voice vote.  The Senate will recess from 1:00 – 2:15 PM for Party Caucuses.

The Senate will convene at 10:00 AM and will be in a period of Morning Business. for one hour. At 11:00 AM, the Senate will resume consideration of the Motion to Proceed to H.R. 3204 (Drug Quality and Security Act) post-cloture. The Senate will recess from 12:30 to 2:15 PM for the weekly party caucus meetings.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2013

The Senate will convene at 2:00 PM and proceed to a period of Morning Business.  At 4:30 PM, the Senate will proceed to an Executive Session to consider Cal. #346 (Cornelia Pillard to be US Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit).  The Senate will proceed to a cloture vote on the nomination at 5:30 PM.  If cloture is not invoked on the nomination, the Senate will then proceed to a Legislative Session and vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to H.R. 3204 (Drug Quality and Security Act).

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2013

The Senate will convene at 11:45 AM for a pro forma session only.  The Senate will then convene at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 and proceed to a period of Morning Business.  At 4:30 PM, the Senate will proceed to an Executive Session to consider Cal. #346 (Cornelia Pillard to be US Circuit Judge for the District of Columbia Circuit).  The Senate will proceed to a cloture vote on the nomination at 5:30 PM.  If cloture is not invoked on the nomination, the Senate will then proceed to a Legislative Session and vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to H.R. 3204 (Drug Quality and Security Act).

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2013

The Senate will convene at 10:00 AM and will proceed with Leader remarks. The Senate will then resume consideration of S. 815 (Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2013). At 11:45 AM, all motions and pending amendments to the bill will be withdrawn. The Senate will then proceed to a vote on the Toomey amend #2013 (Strike the appropriate balance between protecting workers and protecting religious freedom) with a 60 affirmative vote threshold for adoption. Upon conclusion of that vote, the Senate will agree to the substitute amendment and proceed to a vote on the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the bill, as amended. If cloture on the bill is invoked, a vote on final passage of S. 815 will occur at 1:45 PM. If cloture is not invoked, the Majority Leader will be recognized.
