Secure. The. Border
Posted by Randy Forbes | April 14, 2015

A secure border should not just be a priority, it should be a reality.

That’s why the House Judiciary Committee passed the Michael Davis, Jr. In Honor of State and Local Law Enforcement Act (H.R. 1148), which is an updated version of the SAFE Act. This bill, which I co-sponsored, removes the President’s ability to unilaterally shut down immigration enforcement, and strengthens the interior enforcement of our immigration laws by allowing state and local governments to enforce federal immigration law.

I am also supporting H.Res.11, to authorize the House of Representatives to legally determine in federal court whether President Obama’s unilateral immigration actions violate the Constitution, and allow the Speaker to seek a declaratory judgment to compel the President to obey our nation’s immigration laws.

Just like in biology where an uneven pressure causes fluid to migrate across a membrane, the U.S must balance this unbalanced pressure across the southern border membrane. Two reasons for people to migrate across the southern border membrane are lack of safety and lack of jobs. Our drug war is fueling the cartels with lots of cash and thus creates lack of safety in southern countries; we need to rethink how the U.S deals with this policy. The southern countries have resources, like nice weather and minerals (oil), for the U.S. to help them develop to create new jobs. Their nice weather all year long is great to grow food and to visit, we help them create jobs, we help create a balance across this southern border membrane, and we help solve this immigration problem. So please Congress, instead of using resources to stop Obama’s immigration policy, use time to ask Americans for new ideas. This will be more productive than just saying no.

Randy, I'm very concerned that your committee continues its racist motivated obstruction of action on the Voting Rights Act. You won't act sir, and it is one of the ugliest obstruction efforts in the past 50 years. It's a national disgrace, especially from a congressman who is representing a district the courts found to be improperly redistricted with a racial motivation, to specifically protect your politically Randy. It's the worst representation in 100 years in this district.
