Senate Pages play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the Senate. The Senate Page Program allows students a unique opportunity to learn about Congress while continuing with their coursework. Page responsibilities center around their work assisting Senators in the Senate Chamber when Congress is in session. The Senate Page Program is administrated by the Sergeant at Arms, the Secretary of the Senate and the party secretaries.
Each year, there are four established page sessions. The academic year consists of two semesters which run in the fall from early September through mid-January and, in the spring, from mid-January through mid-June. The summer program consists of two sessions which are three or four weeks in duration, depending on the legislative calendar.
Senator Warner enjoys the privilege to sponsor a Page, and welcomes your interest in this exciting opportunity. Please note that Senator Warner’s office only appoints pages for the fall and spring sessions. Additionally, Senator Warner’s page sponsorship alternates by gender. Feel free to contact our office directly at 202-224-2023 to confirm whether we will be sponsoring a male or female candidate in the upcoming session. With only 30 Pages per session, Page positions are highly competitive and unfortunately not all students who seek a position can be accommodated.
