Dear Friends,

Each January, we take a day to remember the influential life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A champion of the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King worked tirelessly to extend the democratic principles of equality and freedom to all Americans.

Today, January 19th, our nation will observe the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. I encourage you to use this day as an opportunity to get involved in your community and give back to your neighbors. More than ever, we must commit ourselves to a just America for all citizens.
