In a March letter, U.S. Rep. John Kline, R-Burnsville, asked Congress to increase funding for Bureau of Indian Education Schools by $59 million. Kline cited "health and safety hazards" at tribal schools nationwide, including the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Kline visited the "Bug" school in April with U.S. Rep.
