2016 Capitol Christmas Tree

The 2016 Capitol Christmas Tree will come from Idaho's Payette National Forest. The tree itself will be selected by the U.S. Forest Service later this year. With that honor comes thousands of hand-made ornaments from Idahoans that will decorate not only the Capitol tree, but Congressional offices in Washington, D.C.

In an effort to hear from as many Idahoans as possible, I have been holding town meetings across our beautiful state. By the time the town meeting tour is complete, I will have visited all 200 incorporated towns in Idaho. This interactive map marks all of the town meeting locations I have completed to date.

Clear Need for Comprehensive Tax Reform

Crapo: "One of my top priorities in the new Congress remains reforming our nation's overly-burdensome tax code as part of creating a competitive, national economy that encourages innovation and job growth. As I travel our state, many Idahoans ask me can Congress find consensus to reform our tax code and to pay down our massive national debt. The answer is we are making some progress on key principles, but we need Idahoans and all Americans to push for agreement to get the job done."

Senator Crapo voted against the Affordable Care Act when it was passed in 2009. Since then, Senator Crapo has been committed to delaying, defunding and repealing this harmful law.
