To apply for an internship with either Senator Flake's Washington, D.C., Phoenix, or Tucson office, please fill out the form below and print it. Once you have completed the form, please enclose a resume, cover letter, and a two-page writing sample, from work or school, with the application.

Your cover letter should include some of the following: Why you are interested in interning in Senator Flake’s office, your policy interests, the Member’s policy stances that you support, specific qualifications that make you an ideal candidate, what you hope to gain from the experience, how will it help your future career and education, etc.

Please remember that we must receive all required materials in order to consider your application. After your application materials are reviewed, selected applicants will be contacted by the Intern Coordinator to arrange follow-up interviews. Due to the large volume of applications we receive, it may take several weeks before your application is reviewed.

College Internship Application

Full-time and part-time internships are available in Arizona and Washington, D.C. during the Winter and Fall semesters, and during two Summer sessions.

Interns will perform a variety of duties, including conducting research for the legislative staff, communicating with constituents, and assisting in the administrative operations of our office. Interns in the Washington, DC office will also assist with tours for visiting constituents and attend briefings and hearings.
