Each year Senators have the privilege of nominating a select group of outstanding young men and women to attend our four United States Military Service Academies: the United States Air Force Academy, United States Merchant Marine Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy and United States Naval Academy. I consider this opportunity to help select the next generation of military leaders among my most important and rewarding responsibilities. Your application will be carefully reviewed and judged based upon your academic record, test scores, extra-curricular activities, motivation, character, and leadership abilities. I am allotted a very limited number of nominations, and the entire process is extremely competitive. To all who seek my nominations, please know that you and your family have my sincerest gratitude for your willingness to serve.
Each applicant for a nomination from my office must meet the following eligibility requirements as of July 1:
Each academy requires that you submit an application to them, as well as to my office. Due to the large volume of applications, it is best to start the process with the academy of your choice as soon as possible.
