  • Chairman Pete Sessions Leads Group to Thank Troops During the Christmas Season

This week I led a bipartisan congressional delegation featuring Congressman Bill Keating (D-MA), Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA), Congressman Paul Cook (R-CA), Congressman David Cicilline (R-RI), and Congressman Dan Newhouse (R-WA) to visit men and women who serve in our nation’s armed forces during the Christmas season at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, United States Forces Korea headquarters and Camp Humphreys in Seoul, Korea, Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, Yokota Airbase in Tokyo, Japan, and Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii.
  • Sessions Demands Answers from DHS

"Last week's disturbing report from the Office of the Inspector General shined light on the failure of this Administration to effectively enforce our immigration laws. It is completely unacceptable to fraudulently grant the rights and liberties that come with a U.S. citizenship to 1,800 virtually unknown individuals. We don't know what countries they are from, we don't have any of their biometric data, and we simply don't know anything about these individuals. This Administration's glaring lack of judgment has made a mockery of our immigration system and jeopardized our national security. I will continue to push for answers and hold this Administration accountable for their irresponsible actions.
  • Sessions Works to Hold Hillary Clinton Accountable for Her Irresponsible and Lawless Actions

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions, Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and member of House leadership, joined Congressman Tom Marino (PA-10) and thirty-four other Members of Congress in sending a letter to FBI Director James Comey pressing him to clarify reports from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an illegal, private email server while serving as Secretary of State.
  • Congressman Sessions Responds to the Dallas Police Shooting

During a peaceful protest in downtown Dallas, police officers who were supporting and protecting members of the community who were peacefully assembling were met with unwarranted, deliberate violence. I am deeply saddened by these events and find it disheartening to know that there are people who want to bring harm to the men and women who selflessly put their lives on the line to protect our families and communities.
  • Sessions Leads Mission to El Paso

Congressman Sessions led a mission to El Paso with four of his Republican colleagues where they met with servicemen and women from the largest Army Base in the United States, Fort Bliss, and received classified briefings from the Drug Enforcement Agency on cartel and Western Hemisphere security threats at the El Paso Intelligence Center. These briefings with both federal agencies and a private national security firm provided unique and necessary insight into the national security issues that Texans and our country face.
