Students Seek Service Academies

COLORADO SPRINGS - The competition for admission into the Air Force Academy and the other four U.S. service academies is so stiff, no more than five of the 108 area students who applied this year, will get in.  But those odds didn't dim the hopes of 35 students at Peterson Air Force Base Saturday.

The students attended a nomination ceremony and received certificates from Rep. D
