Dumbarton Oaks Garden
Visitors can wander though sixteen acres of beautiful landscape, through small formal gardens, a Roman-style amphitheater, down Lovers’ Lane, and view collections of pre-Columbian art.

Availability: Open from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. from November 1 - March 14.  Open from 2:00 p.m-6:00 p.m. from March 15 - October 31. Closed on Mondays, federal holidays, during inclement weather and on Christmas Eve.

Cost:  Free admission from November 1 - March 14.  Adults-$7, Children/Seniors-$5 from March 15-October 31.

Mount Vernon
A privately owned estate and garden, once the home of George and Martha Washington. In the 18th century the estate, gardens, and farm totaled 8,000 acres.  Today, 500 acres have been preserved.  Visitors can see 20 structures and 50 acres of gardens as they existed in 1799.

Old Post Office Pavilion
Built in 1889 as Washington’s first skyscraper, the Old Post Office Pavilion is now the home of a number of restaurants and shops.

A tour of the oldest home in Washington, a 1795 Georgetown colonial home displaying 18th century living and surrounded by a lavish flower and herb garden.
