Service Academy Nominations

Thank you for your interest in gaining more information about receiving a Congressional Nomination to a United States Service Academy.  Attending a U.S. Service Academy provides not only a competitive and high-quality education, but it also sets apart a career of opportunity unmatched for our young people looking to achieve the highest goals and standards in the area of education and service.  As a West Point graduate, Congressman Guthrie highly encourages students interested in the military to look in to attending a service academy.  The Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine academies are all excellent institutions for higher education and training.

As the representative of Kentucky’s Second District, each year Congressman Guthrie has the distinct honor and privilege of nominating a limited number of people to our nation’s service academies. The nobility of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve our great county in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
