Our office remains committed to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) which is designed to provide access to health care for all Americans. Protecting the health and well-being of our community remains a top priority for my office, and we must work collaboratively to develop a meaningful plan that works for everyone, particularly our veterans and those that rely on vital indigent care services. While no law is perfect, I believe it is imperative that we provide access to healthcare for the 42 million Americans that are uninsured.
Reports on Marketplace enrollment activity between October 1 and December 28 show that there is robust demand for the quality, affordable coverage options now available to Americans because of the ACA.
Our office has hosted a series of ACA workshops across the 7th Congressional District as an initiative to educate constituents on the ACA and the enrollment process. These workshops serve as additional assistance to Alabamians in understanding the enrollment process and to provide critical information that will help them make more informed decisions about their healthcare.
Below you will find resources and information on the Affordable Care Act. If I or a member of my staff can be of any additional assistance on issues pertaining to your healthcare or if you would like to share your ACA story, please contact our office.
