Women's Issues
Throughout her carreer, Louise has won important victories in the fight for women’s rights. Louise is an original author of the Violence Against Women Act, which has reduced cases of domestic violence by 67 percent. She is the co-chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus, and strongly believes in a woman’s right to choose. She is a strong advocate for improving protections against sexual assault in our nation’s military and fights to ensure that female soldiers can access comprehensive and safe reproductive healthcare. Louise speaks out for the rights of women around the world, and believes that every woman deserves full protections under the law and a complete recognition of her equal rights.
