Rep. Maffei to Host Fire Grants Workshops

SYRACUSE, NY– U.S. Representative Dan Maffei will host a fire grants workshop tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20th, and Thursday, August 21st, to help local emergency service agencies secure federal grants. Since taking office in January 2013, Rep. Maffei has successfully advocated for federal funding to assist fire departments and first responders in Central New York. He has announced more than $4.8 million in federal funding to upgrade equipment and increase staffing for local emergency service agencies. Fire departments from across Central New York are invited to attend these workshops.
