Fortenberry Statement on President's Address to Nation

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Jeff Fortenberry made the following statement after the President's address to the nation tonight:
 
“ISIS is a threat to all persons in the world and a threat to civilization itself. The current situation in the Middle East demands international intervention. I thought the call for a broad international coalition was the right decision. The United States cannot commit to combat troop operations but we can work with other nations to contain and degrade ISIS."
Fortenberry is a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
