2013 Presidential Inauguration Ticket Requests
11/20/12On Monday, January 21, 2013, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will be sworn into office.
My Congressional office receives a limited number of tickets to distribute to constituents in our district who will be in
Washington, D.C. and would like to attend the ceremony. If you are a resident of New Mexico's Third Congressional
District, please submit the form below to be entered into a drawing for a ticket. Submitting this form is a
request only and does not guarantee a ticket.
Due to the limited number of tickets the Congressional office receives for the ceremony, all requests for tickets will
be entered into a lottery. Only residents of the Third Congressional District are eligible to receive tickets
through the lottery. A maximum of five tickets will be available per request, and only one request per household
will be included in the drawing.
The deadline to submit a request for tickets is December 16, 2012. Constituents will be notified in late
December if they have been selected to receive tickets with details regarding when to pick them up from the
Washington, D.C. Congressional office.
Tickets are for standing room only areas and ticket holders should be prepared to stand outside in winter weather
for several hours. Strollers will not be allowed in any ticketed areas and children old enough to walk must have their
own ticket. Tickets will only be distributed in my Washington, D.C. office and must be picked up in person.
Demand for tickets exceeds the number available, therefore, it is encouraged that those submitting a request for
tickets do not make travel plans contingent on receiving tickets. There are many ways to participate in the Inaugural
festivities that do not require a ticket. While a ticket may place you closer to the swearing-in, many people will view
the Inaugural ceremonies from the National Mall where tickets are not required.
