Boustany to Visit Barksdale Air Force Base

Boustany said: “As the home of the Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base is the epicenter of America’s nuclear deterrence strategy. This base is critical to our diplomatic and military strategies for confronting nations like Russia, China, Iran, Syria, or North Korea.

“It’s an honor to have this important base located in Louisiana, but it’s also a tremendous responsibility. We need representatives who will go the distance to ensure this important base is adequately funded and equipped. As the senior member of Louisiana’s House delegation, I will continue to stand together with my colleagues to support Barksdale.”

Barksdale Air Force Base is located southeast of Bossier City, Louisiana and has been home to Air Force Global Strike Command since 2010. More than 15,000 military and civilians are stationed at Barksdale.
