Mayor of Ruston, Mayor of Farmerville, Representatives From Union and Lincoln Parishes Meet with Congressman McAllister

WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister (R-Swartz) today met with representatives from Union and Lincoln Parishes, including Mayor Hollingsworth of Ruston and Mayor Baughman of Farmerville. Representatives discussed conditions in North Louisiana and projects they believe would help the community and state.

The representatives met with Congressman McAllister in his Washington DC office while they were in town this week. The Union Lincoln Regional Water Supply Initiative and the I-20 Transportation Corridor Program were among the many things discussed during the meeting.

“It was a pleasure meeting with representatives from Union and Lincoln Parishes today,”said McAllister. “They had important issues to discuss and I appreciate them taking the time to share their concerns with me during their visit to Washington this week. The Union Lincoln Water Supply Initiative along with the I-20 Corridor Program are projects that would greatly benefit our region. I look forward to supporting their ongoing efforts and will do everything in my power to help them get what they need to make necessary improvements.”
