Congressman McAllister Celebrates Decision for General Dynamics Information Technology's Call Center to Remain Open

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister (R-Swartz) celebrated the decision made by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services to allow General Dynamics Information Technology’s Bogalusa call center to remain open. The center was temporarily in Bogalusa and originally scheduled to close on April 25. Congressman McAllister along with Sen. David Vitter and Sen. Mary Landrieu spoke with General Dynamics representatives, urging them to remain open after reports of successful work done at the center.

“This is excellent news for the City of Bogalusa and the hundreds of high quality workers employed by General Dynamics whose jobs are now saved. I’m pleased to see that the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services saw how important this is to my district and the state of Louisiana. As long as I am in office I will continue to fight for the health of our economy and the preservation of jobs” said McAllister.

U.S. Rep. Vance McAllister, R-Swartz, represents Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District and serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources and the House Committee on Agriculture.
