Kansas Representative Tours Premier Surgical Institute

Premier Surgical Institute C.E.O. Joseph Caputo showed Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins around the facility this afternoon. Caputo says the economic development in the city has been fantastic. The hospital has been open now for a year and has expanded to 35 patient rooms. Jenkins says good health care is key to the survival of any rural community in Kansas.

"Galena is doing a lot right on that front and this is just a wonderful facility to keep folks here at home, getting their health care. It's just a great asset to this community," said Representative Lynn Jenkins, Kansas.

"We're most excited about the economic development that it's brought to the community. We've been able to create about 78 jobs so far for the hospital, which has been nice for the Southeast Kansas community," Joseph Caputo, Premier Surgical Institute Ceo

Caputo discussed with Jenkins the federal issues the hospital is having and to see what she can do to help.
