The Energy and Commerce Committee this week held its inaugural bipartisan roundtable for its new initiative to find a path to 21st Century Cures. Committee members were joined by an esteemed panel of experts to discuss the state of biomedical innovation in the United States and what steps we can take together to accelerate the process of bringing new treatments and cures to patients. Members were joined by leaders from the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and other thought leaders for a discussion that sparked considerable chatter on social media sites like Twitter:
