Email Senator Begich

Dear Alaskan,

Thank you for contacting me.  I always appreciate hearing from Alaskans.

During my nearly six years in the U.S. Senate, my office has answered approximately 360,000 letters, emails and phone calls from Alaskans. We have listened to your concerns and exchanged views on hundreds of topics.  In addition, we have taken on at least 3,000 “casework” cases—working to solve problems between the federal government and Alaskans who needed assistance with their Social Security checks, veterans’ benefits, travel visas and dozens of other matters.  Nothing has given me greater pleasure than successful “case closed” reports, which means our work has directly touched Alaskans’ lives.

But now the election results are in.  Alaska voters have spoken, and I respect their decision.  Dan Sullivan is the senator-elect.   He and I both know Alaskans always will have strong opinions on the issues and sometimes require assistance working with the federal agencies.  His office tells us they should have a transition email set up soon, so I urge you to contact them.

Thank you again for reaching out.  It has been my pleasure to serve as your senator.

Sincerely,
