A Sweet Evening at the USBG Tour
Like sweets? Curious about sugary substances from plants with names like jaggery, treacle and panela? Join biochemist and USBG volunteer Beth Burrous on a tour of the Conservatory highlighting plants from around the world that impart flavor to sweet foods. Explore and discuss plants like sugar cane, coconut palm, papaya, banana, tamarind, ginger, allspice, coffee and chocolate, and sample sweets along the way!
