Congresswoman Jenkins Tours Cessna Plant, one of Kansas' biggest exporters
In 2012 export sales from Kansas totaled $11.66 billion and one in five Kansas jobs depend on international trade. Kansas companies involved in trade grow faster and pay more than ‘domestic only’ manufacturers. That is why I am committed to finding new markets for Kansas agriculture, aircraft and other manufactured goods. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Subcommittee on Trade, I am working to make sure that the interests of Kansans are protected as we work through trade agreements that remove barriers to Kansas products.
