AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment authorizes $20 million in fiscal years 1995-1999 for the Parents As Teachers Program.
AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment to authorize $20 million in each FY 1995-1999 for grants to states to initiate or expand "Parents as Teachers" programs, and to establish in the Department of Education a Parents as Teachers National Center to provide assistance to local programs.
