AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment sought to require that DOD peacekeeping expenditures be offset against the U.N. peacekeeping assessment for the United States before any payments are made by the U.S. to the United Nations.

AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment to limit the amounts authorized to be paid for the U.S. assessed share of UN peacekeeping costs to only those amounts expended by DOD for direct or indirect support of UN peacekeeping operations.

STATUS:
