AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
Amendment allows for the continued operation of the Viceroy Gold mining operation in the Mojave National Park. \ As amended by the Miller (CA) amendment (A015), language was added withdrawing lands from the Mojave National Park which affected the Molycorp/Unocal Corp.; and which provided for the establishment of the Dinosaur Trackway Area of Critical Environmental Concern within the California Desert Conservation Area.
AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
An amendment to reduce the proposed size of the Mojave National Park by 19 million acres, from 1,448,000 acres to 1,419,000.
