Thank you for your interest in purchasing the American flag! Congressman Vern Buchanan is pleased to help you with your request. Flags are available in different sizes and fabrics; there is no limit on the amount you may order. To order flags, you must either be a resident of Florida's 16th Congressional District or send the flags to a person who lives in Florida's 16th Congressional District. Flags may be flown on any day of the year and for special occasions or events.

Flags Flown Over the Capitol

You are welcome to order flags to be flown over our nation's capital on a specific date to commemorate a birthday, retirement, anniversary or other special occasion. Each flag comes with a certificate of authenticity that you can personalize to reflect the occasion. Please include the message you would like to appear on the certificate by completing the Certificate Information and filling out the Dedication Message box provided. If multiple flags are requested to be flown, they will all be flown on the same date and shipped at the same time. If you need flags flown on different dates, you must submit separate order requests for each unique date. All flags are sold at cost and take approximately 4-6 weeks for delivery, depending on the availability of inventory. Once your flag has been flown over the U.S. Capitol on the date indicated, the flag and certificate will be shipped to the provided address.

Flags NOT Flown Overn the Capitol

You are welcome to order any number of U.S. flags. Please leave blank the Certificate Information and Occasion Message box. After choosing your payment method, the flag will be shipped to the provided address.

Paying With Credit Card

Credit card orders are processed by Pay.gov, a secure government transaction service. To pay with a credit card, click on "Calculate Prices", review the order details and click the "Pay with a Credit Card" button. Your credit card will be charged immediately, even though your flag may not be mailed until after the requested date.

Paying With Check

Checks may be mailed to my office with the completed order form. Click on "Calculate Prices", review the order details, and then click on "Mail a Check" to view the printable order form with mailing instructions.

Care for Flags

Most outdoor flags can be washed in mild detergent and thoroughly rinsed. Indoor and parade flags should be dry-cleaned. Damaged flags can be repaired and utilized as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags. Store your flag in a clean, well-ventilated area.
