Commonsense Permitting for Job Creation Act
The Commonsense Permitting for Job Creation Act was introduced on August 1, 2013 by Congressman Robert Hurt, along with Senators Kaine and Warner and Congressman Morgan Griffith. This bipartisan, bicameral bill is one example of our efforts to address a problem brought to my attention by citizens of the Fifth District. It would remove a misguided federal regulatory barrier that is blocking important economic development initiatives that would bring much-needed jobs to places like Henry and Pittsylvania Counties.
At a time when our unemployment rate in the Fifth District remains too high, we need to be doing everything in our power to support our Main Street businesses and family farms and free them from the burdensome regulations of this Administration.
