Rep. Maloney congratulates Rep. Mel Watt upon Senate Banking Committee approval of his nomination to lead FHFA

“With 20 percent of our economy dependent upon the health of our nation’s housing market, our country needs a wise and seasoned leader at the FHFA.    I’m confident that Congressman Watt can help rebuild our broken housing finance system and restore the stability, accessibility and affordability Americans deserve and expect.
