Program for Monday:
After the transaction of any morning business (not to extend beyond 5:30 p.m.), Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination of Anne W. Patterson, of Virginia, a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Career Ambassador, to be an Assistant Secretary of State (Near Eastern Affairs). Upon disposition of the nomination of Anne W. Patterson, Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the nomination of Jeh Charles Johnson, of New Jersey, to be Secretary of Homeland Security, and if cloture is invoked, Senate will vote on confirmation of the nomination thereon.
The filing-deadline for first-degree amendments to the motion to concur with respect to H.J. Res. 59, Budget Resolution, and H.R. 3304, National Defense Authorization Act, is at 4 p.m.
Also, additional procedural votes are possible following the 5:30 votes.
