This year marked the innaugural year for this competition. This annual House App Contest is designed to engage student’s creativity and spur interest in STEM careers and fields of study.

Established by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, this competition is a nationwide event.  High school students from across the country will compete by creating, submitting and exhibiting their software application, or “app,” for mobile, tablet, or computer devices.  Participating students will also have opportunities to engage with STEM educational partners located within the community to mentor them with their app development.
