Muslim Brotherhood Is No Friend to U.S.

We learned that last week, on April 3, White House officials met with members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It was reported that Tommy Vietor, the National Security Council spokesman, made the comments:

"We believe that it is in the interest of the United States to engage with all parties that are committed to democratic principles, especially nonviolence.

"In all our conversations with these groups, we emphasize the importance of respect for minority rights, the full inclusion of women, and our regional security concerns."

The very day after the White House’s meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood, an Egyptian court sentenced a 17-year-old Christian boy to three years in jail. What crime did he commit that deserved this punishment? He published cartoons on his Facebook page that were thought to be offensive to Islam and the Prophet Mohammad. These actions led to violence against Christians resulting in Christian homes being burned and Christians being injured. It doesn’t sound like the current Egyptian regime respects minority rights.

What does the Muslim Brotherhood specifically believe about minority rights?

In a 1991 document titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America”, U.S. Muslim Brotherhood leader, Mohammed Akram, explains the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood in our nation. In this document he writes:

“The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist process’ with all that the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahidin be equal.”

We need only to look at the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood to understand who they are. Sheik Qaradawi, the Spiritual Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, said in 2004, “All of the Americans in Iraq are combatants, there is no difference between civilians and soldiers, and one should fight them, since the American civilians came to Iraq in order to serve the occupation. The abduction and killing of Americans in Iraq is an obligation so as to cause them to leave Iraq immediately.”

He has also said in February 2006, “We do not disassociate Islam from war. On the contrary, disassociating Islam from war is the reason for our defeat. We are fighting in the name of Islam. Religion must lead to war. This is the only way we can win.”

This is the same man that the Obama Administration chose to be the mediator with the Taliban!

In a sermon entitled, “How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny,” the Muslim Brotherhood’s new supreme guide, Muhammad Badi made a declaration of war on the United States and Israel that went completely unnoticed except for Barry Rubin, who wrote in the Jerusalam Post that Badi had “endorsed anti-American Jihad and pretty much every element in the al-Qaida ideology book.” Rubin continued to say, “Let it be said that in September 2010, the Muslim Brotherhood, a group with 100 times more activists than al-Qaida, issued its declaration of war.”

In that sermon Badi stated, “Today the Muslims desperately need a mentality of honor and means of power [that will enable them] to confront global Zionism. [This movement] knows nothing but the language of force, so [the Muslims] must meet iron with iron, and winds with [even more powerful] storms. They crucially need to understand that the improvement and change that the [Muslim] nation seeks can only be attained through jihad and sacrifice and by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death just as the enemies pursue life.”

Badi also said that the U.S. is immoral and doomed to collapse, and that is is “experienceing the beginning of its end and is heading towards its demise.”

Rubin emphasized the importance and seriousness of Badi’s remarks; he warned that this declaration was a “…call to arms for hundreds of thousands of people, and a national security threat to every Western country.”

The Muslim Brotherhood is not a friend but an enemy to the United States and Israel. Upon reading the words of the Muslim Brotherhood, one would question any justification for our President’s Adminstration to meet with this organization. This is unacceptable.
