$17 MILLION FOR CHARITY
Deputy Defense Secretary William J. Lynn III presents a check for $17,200,000.00 to Rene Acosta, president and CEO of Global Impact, the firm that manages the Combined Federal Campaign, at the annual Combined Federal Campaign awards ceremony at the Pentagon on Jan. 31, 2011. Even in these difficult economic times, Lynn said, the Department of Defense came through for the over 4,000 charities represented in the CFC.
