Letter to Ray Mabus, Secretary of the Navy, Regarding the Navy Commercial Access Control System

Chairman McCaskill expressed deep concern over the report released by the Defense Department’s Office of Inspector General that found major deficiencies in how the Navy managed and oversaw the contractor that was in charge of managing the Navy Commercial Access Control System, which controls contractor access to Navy installations. Chairman McCaskill also requested information on the Inspector General’s finding that the Navy may have paid more than $1.1 million in unallowable costs for the program.
