Congressman George Holding Votes Against Debt Ceiling Increase

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  After House passage of a bill to raise the debt ceiling until March 2015, Congressman George Holding (NC-13) released the following statement:

 

“Tonight, the House missed another opportunity to address our nation’s fiscal crisis. Right now, we are caught in a vicious cycle of borrowing more to spend more, and in order to get our country out of this downward spiral of debt, we need to recognize what got us here in the first place – excessive spending. This is an irresponsible way to govern, and it is morally wrong.”
