Agriculture
I fought to join the House Agriculture Committee because farming is vital to the Hudson Valley’s economy and our way of life. By providing healthy food to our communities, state, and nation, our farmers create thousands of jobs and bring millions of dollars to our region.

Newburgh, NY - The New York Farm Bureau named Representative Sean Patrick Maloney a "Friend of the Farm Bureau" because of his record of fighting for farmers across the Hudson Valley and passing the comprehensive Farm Bill. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, Rep. Maloney pushed for passage of the 2014 Farm Bill that included Rep. Maloney's CROP Act, which reforms crop insurance and invests in the specialty crop farmers who drive the Hudson Valley’s agricultural economy, and an amendment to help families and communities with flooding in the Black Dirt region.
