Congressional Art Competition
Each year, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in each congressional district. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students. The over-all winner of each participating district will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. Submission deadline: Monday, April 28.
General Guidelines:
-Artwork must be two dimensional
-Each piece can be no larger than 28’ X 28’ X 4”
-Artwork cannot weigh more than 15 pounds
-Each entry must be original in concept, design, and execution and may not violate any U.S. copyright laws.

Grand Prize:
The Winner’s artwork will hang in the Capitol for the entire year of the exhibition, plus the winner will be flown to Washington, D.C. for a reception on Capitol Hill!

Thursday, June 26, 2014 Award ceremony and reception at The Capitol in Washington, D. C.
