Ed Cassidy

The Honorable Ed Cassidy

Chief Administrative Officer Ed Cassidy oversees the varied operations of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The CAO is a non-partisan, non-legislative office that provides support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. House Speaker John Boehner nominated and House Members elected Cassidy to the post in January 2014 at the start of the 2nd session of the 113th Congress.

Prior to serving as the CAO, Cassidy worked for seven years as a senior leadership aide to Speaker Boehner, most recently as Director of House Operations.

Cassidy has spent more than three decades in the legislative and executive branches of government. He served as chief of staff to several Members of Congress and held senior positions with the House Ethics Committee and House Rules Committee. In the administration of President George H.W. Bush, he served as Deputy Director of the U.S. Minerals Management Service and as the Interior Department’s deputy chief of staff and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget. He began his House career as a college intern in 1977.

Cassidy studied economics and government at Fairfield University in his home state of Connecticut and at Georgetown University. He holds a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from American University in Washington, DC.  He and his wife, Laura, live in Alexandria, Virginia, and have three daughters.

Traci Beaubian

Traci Beaubian

Traci Beaubian serves as Chief Financial Officer for the U.S. House of Representatives. She is responsible for the House’s financial operations, including accounting, budget, and payroll and benefits. Beaubian has held various financial management, accounting, and financial operations positions within the CAO and the private sector.

Beaubian has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University.

Nelson Moe

Chief Information Officer Nelson Moe oversees the full range of information technology services provided by the House. He also leads the House Information Resources senior management team. Prior to his career on Capitol Hill, Moe worked in the private IT sector and served in the U.S. Navy on submarines.

Moe earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Engineering from Catholic University, and an Applied Scientist degree from George Washington University.

Jason Hite

Jason Hite serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for the CAO.  He is responsible for overseeing the human resources groups that service the CAO and the House of Representatives. Hite has held various human resources positions within the CAO and the private sector spanning multiple industries.

Hite has a B.S. in Management from St. Francis University (Loretto, PA), an M.S. in Human Resources Management from Edinburgh Napier University (Edinburgh, Scotland), and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
