Two Osage Natives to Intern in Jenkins Topeka Office

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins is pleased to announce that Liza Mussatto and Jacob Peterson of Osage City, Kansas, are working as a congressional interns in her Topeka office.
 
“Liza and Jacob have been a great additions to my Topeka staff,” Jenkins said. “Their great personalities and strong work ethic have allowed them to hit the ground running. I am confident they will both serve the folks of Kansas well.”

Mussatto is a sophomore studying economics and biomedical studies at Saint Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She has been active on campus and in the community. Liza is the daughter of Casey and Cheryl Mussatto of Osage City.
 
“Working with Congresswoman Jenkins and her staff has been a great opportunity,” Mussatto noted. “I enjoy learning more about the positive changes that Congresswoman Jenkins is making for our country and for Kansas. Local participation in Kansas government will be a beneficial experience for me as I continue to complete my undergraduate degree.”

Peterson is a sophomore studying political science, public administration, and global studies at the University of Kansas. He has been active on campus through several organizations, and will be the Vice Chairperson of KU College Republicans in the coming school year. Jacob is the son of Todd and Alice Peterson of Osage City, Kansas.

“I’m excited to spend the summer interning for Congresswoman Jenkins, and enjoy working with her great staff” Peterson said. “I can already tell that I will learn a lot of invaluable lessons throughout my internship.”
