Rep. Jenkins Visits with Lawrence High School Class

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins visited a Lawrence High School government class today to discuss the current issues of the day and encourage youth involvement in politics. The Congresswoman released the following statement about the visit:

“I had a great time talking to Mr. Herbert’s government class at Lawrence High School today. It is always encouraging to see young people engaged and interested in solving the challenges that face this country,” said Jenkins. “We had a very candid conversation and the students asked great questions. We talked about several topics, including what is going on in Washington right now with the fiscal cliff and debt.”

Congresswoman Jenkins also stopped by the Lawrence Memorial Hospital this morning. She visited with Lawrence Memorial leadership, the pharmacy staff, and took a tour of the facility.
