Leavenworth Native to Intern in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins is pleased to announce that Kyle Griffin of Leavenworth, Kansas, is working as a congressional intern in her Washington, D.C. office.

“Kyle has been a terrific addition to my Washington staff,” Jenkins said. “His great personality and strong work ethic have allowed him to hit the ground running. I am confident Kyle will serve the folks of Kansas well.”

Griffin is a junior studying political science at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. He is a contracted cadet with Army ROTC. He also studied off campus in Washington D.C. in Fall 2010 and completed an internship with the Department of Homeland Security. Kyle is the son of Dan and Mary Griffin.

“Working with Congresswoman Jenkins this summer is an amazing opportunity,” Griffin noted. “I enjoy learning about the inner workings of Capitol Hill as well as public policy in general, plus I am able to provide service to my state at the same time. I can’t wait for all of the great experiences I will have in DC this summer.”
