Jenkins Visits Osawatomie During Congress to Kansas Tour

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins visited Osawatomie, Kan., to host a listening session as part of her Congress to Kansas tour. There were about 30 people in attendance, and discussion topics covered the farm bill, budget, E-Verify, tax reform and more.

“It was great to hear from folks in Osawatomie today. We had a great crowd with good questions,” said Jenkins. “What is important to understand is that the House of Representatives is trying to get the economy back on track by tackling issues like tax reform, but much of the legislation passed by the House is being held up by Senate leadership that is stalling due to the election.”

Below are the next opportunities to attend a listening session with Congresswoman Jenkins. We are adding dates and locations to the tour at all times. If you would like to request a visit to your area, please email the office with the subject line: “Congress to Kansas Tour Request.”

Since 2009, Congresswoman Jenkins has held Congress to Kansas events during congressional work periods to keep Kansans informed about what she is doing in Washington.
